About HIJH
The Hague International Figure Skating Club (HIJH) has held a special place in the hearts of Dutch figure skating enthusiasts since its inception in 1937. Established with a passion for the art of figure skating, this club has not only maintained its legacy but has consistently been the number one figure skating club in the Netherlands for nearly a century.
What's truly special about HIJH is its impressive history, which includes some outstanding figure skaters who made the club proud. Two standout former members are Sjoukje Dijkstra (Olympic Champion, 1964) and Joan Haanappel (bronze medal European Championship, 1960), both of whom achieved great success in international competitions.
